Blunt Like A Guitar Pick

While some people are out making amazing memories at Splendour in the Grass in Australia and Fuji Rock in Japan, I, unable to go, have chosen a music reviewer magazine for this week’s segment.

Blunt Magazine, is a monthly that aims to cover awesome alternative music from Australia and abroad, and “embraces all the lifestyle elements that come with it, from gaming and film to extreme sport.” They accept interviews, articles and reviews and pay for submissions.

Checking the website, its blog and forums, will be the best way for prospective writers to get a feel for the Blunt style. While the current issue features a lot of heavy metal and punk, a look through the blog reveals a greater variety of indie styles as well as festival write-ups and album reviews.
